Registration, Payments, And Refund Policies

A. Registration

Program Calendar, Schedule, and Pricing

Registration becomes legally binding on acceptance by the Institute of South Asian Language Studies (ISALS). Failure to comply with our payment policy will result in the cancellation of the booking or in the termination of the student’s course.

Scheduling is based on the current Institute of South Asian Language Studies (ISALS) program calendar. Minor deviations from the published schedule may take place but will not affect the total number of class hours per week. Pricing is based on the current ISALS price list. You should not register for the course before reviewing the official program calendar, schedule, and price list.

Upon commencement of the course, it is understood that the student is fully aware and in acceptance of the terms and conditions of the Institute.

B. Payments

A 25% deposit must be paid immediately in order to secure your booking. Deposit must be received in full 14 days prior to your course start. In the case of late bookings, payments must be made in full upon booking confirmation. Proof of payment must be sent to the accounts department at the following email address: Payments must include all bank transfer charges (including all intermediary bank charges). No student is allowed to start their course until full payment is received. Failure to comply with the above terms and conditions may result in the cancellation of the booking and the forfeit of the 25% deposit.

          •  No payments are accepted by credit card unless the original credit card holder is present. Bank charges are incurred by the cardholder. ISALS will inform the cardholder beforehand of any additional charges.
          • Credit card payments may be made on-line subject to a 3% service charge.

Note:  All payments, including course fees, should be made in full at least two weeks prior to the day course begins. There is a administration fee of $100.00 due on registration.

C. Refund Policy

Students are entitled to a full refund of all tuition, fees and non-instructional services paid within three (3) business days of signing this agreement, less the value of any lessons or non-instructional services provided. This is the only instance in which non-refundable fees, as indicated on the official price list, will be given.

Students may request a refund of prepaid tuition by submitting a written request to ISALS either (a) 7 days before their class’s scheduled start date or (b) before 5:00 p.m. on the second day of class. In either case, a tuition refund will be given, less an early termination fee equivalent to one-quarter of a session (12 weeks/60 hours) of tuition and any non-refundable fees as indicated on the official price list.

All requests for refunds must be made in writing.Refunds will only be made to the person, company or agency that paid our Institute. If the student paid through an agency, he or she must speak directly with that agency for a refund. All refunds paid via check or wire transfer will be made via a refund check from the Institute. However, if tuition fees were paid by credit card, then the Institute will process the refund to the credit card used for payment.

Missed Classes: There will be no excused absences unless the student receives written authorization from management. Students will not be entitled to any refund or makeup class in the event they do not attend a scheduled class session. A class missed is a class lost.
